The Higher, The Better?  

When shopping for cotton sheets, most people search for the sheets with the highest thread count.  We have been taught to believe that the higher the thread count the better.  However, with just a little research, you will learn that this concept is not necessarily true.

The truth is the longer the staple of cotton (the strands of cotton that are woven
together), the softer and more durable the cotton sheet will be.  When shopping for softer cotton sheets, look for extra long staple cotton.  These will be the softer and more durable sheets that will only continue to get softer with time.
